I started bowling when I was
about seven years old, and I have been bowling ever since.
My father , along with a few youth bowling coaches, taught me
the basics; I learned the rest on my own.
My Proudest Moment . . .
My proudest moment was the
night I shot my first (and only) 800 series, mostly because I
never imagined I would ever achieve such a lofty goal in my
life. Coming in a close second is the fact that I have
converted the 7-10 split not once, but twice.
My Most Embarrassing Moment . . .
While I hate to admit it, while bowling in a junior bowling
tournament at Town and Country Lanes, I actually forgot how to
bowl. For two full games, I could not for the life of me
remember how to begin my delivery so that I ended up on the
correct sliding foot . . . and boy, did I look silly!
My Most Frustrating Moment . . .
I think I have one of those every time I pick up a bowling ball.
But every time I feel frustration setting in, I remind myself
that bowling is supposed to be fun, regardless of whether you're
open bowling, bowling in league, or competing in a tournament.
If you're going to get frustrated every time you bowl, you
should probably rethink whether or not you should be bowling in
the first place. My Quote for
Everyone . . . Bowling should
be fun and enjoyable -- always remember this. Life is too
short, and before you know it, it could all be gone, so take the
time to enjoy every moment. |
